Fitness Flat Rate with Extended Training Hours Available Starting May 4.

The long-awaited new Uni Gym has officially opened its doors for the 2026 summer semester. Starting Monday, May 4, all interested parties are invited to kick off the flat rate, visit the new premises, and maybe even enjoy a free trial workout.
After years of construction that limited the available sports activities, Goethe University Frankfurt’s Sports Campus Ginnheim now features an exciting addition: the university’s very own fitness center, “Uni Gym,” just opened its doors. Its primary users are members of the Institute for Sports Sciences as well as University Sports. In addition to supporting instruction in sports science degree programs, Uni Gym is accessible to all students, staff, and even guests. There is also a brand-new studio for exclusive courses (including aerial yoga, pole dancing, or aerial arts) next door; in addition, following the renovations, two other halls in the building have now been reopened. The official inauguration ceremony for these new halls is scheduled to be held this summer semester.

Anyone interested in signing up for the new fitness flat rate can do so starting Monday, May 4, at 8:00 a.m. That day, Uni Gym will hold an open house during the regular opening hours: anyone interested is warmly invited to stop by, take a look around, and enjoy a free trial workout. Please be sure to bring athletic clothing, clean sports shoes, and a sufficiently large towel to use as a mat.
During the years of construction on Ginnheim Campus, a provisional gym was operated in the former aircraft workshop. In addition to the significant expansion and upgrade of equipment, space, and infrastructure, the new training times are also much more flexible. The flat rate can be booked for 3, 6, or 12 months, with holidays and closure periods automatically added to the contract duration.
Open training time slots (available from May 4):
– Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 4–10 p.m.
– Wed: 6:15–10 p.m.
– Thu: 8–10 a.m.
– Mon: 8–10 a.m.
– Sat: 1–3 p.m.
– Additionally: Mon and Tue 12:15–1:45 p.m. (subject to change)

During these times, instructors will be on-site to assist with questions and help you get started. Students may also book an introductory or trial training session ahead of time for €5 (the price for staff is €10 and for guests €15). If you decide to book the fitness flat rate afterward, the fee will be credited toward your subscription. Previous subscriptions for the old weight room may be transferred to the Uni Gym; the deadline is May 10. To do so, simply send an email to the University Sports team with your transfer request.

Who can train at Uni Gym?
The offer is primarily designed for Goethe University students and staff. Guests are also welcome to book sessions – if space is available. Since some courses may take place during training hours, access to equipment may occasionally be limited. More details and the link to book the new Fitness Flat Rate are available on the University Sports website under Sports Offerings from A to Z, “F,” “Fitness Flat Rate for 3, 6, and 12 months.”
University Sports looks forward to welcoming new faces, returnees, and long-time workout buddies!
