Seit Jahren bestimmt die \u00f6ffentlichen Debatten, ob in der gesellschaftlichen Entwurzelung von Bankern, Fondsmanagern, Analysten und Finanzdienstleistern nicht einer der Gr\u00fcnde f\u00fcr die krisenhaften Tendenzen des Finanzwesens zu suchen ist. Dabei ist keine andere Berufsgruppe in den Sozialwissenschaften so wenig erforscht wie die der Akteure in Banken und Finanzwesen. \u201eEthik im Finanzsystem\u201c kann einerseits die gesetzlich verankerte moralische Einbettung des Finanzsystems bezeichnen, andererseits die moralischen Motivationen, Deutungsmuster und Handlungen von Individuen oder Gruppen im Finanzsystem.<\/p>\n

Die aktuelle Ausgabe von WestEnd fragt nach der Berufsmoral von Bankern, untersucht eine Reihe von \u201eethischen\u201c Banken, die, aus bestimmten weltanschaulichen Nischen kommend, das Selbstbild einer moralischen Avantgarde pflegen, und beleuchtet kritisch Anspruch und Wirklichkeit der \u201e\u00c4quatorprinzipien\u201c, eines selbstgesetzten ethischen Rahmenwerks zum Schutz von Menschenrechten in internationalen Finanzkonsortien. Insgesamt soll deutlich werden, welche M\u00f6glichkeiten des Widerstands gegen die \u201eSystemlogik\u201c des Finanzsystems bestehen, aber auch, welche Hindernisse seiner weitergehenden moralischen Einbettung auf der Basis individueller Ans\u00e4tze entgegenstehen. WestEnd wird seit 2004 vom Institut f\u00fcr Sozialforschung herausgegeben und richtet sich an ein breites intellektuelles Lesepublikum.<\/p>\n
