Gischler hat k\u00fcrzlich die letzte Probe eines Stalaktiten aus dem ber\u00fchmten Blue Hole in der Karibik untersucht. Die Probe wurde in den 1970er Jahren von Jacques Cousteau aus der vom Meer \u00fcberfluteten Karsth\u00f6hle geborgen. Gischler fand bei der Analyse \u00dcberraschendes \u00fcber das Wetter nach der letzten Eiszeit.
