Dieser These folgend tr\u00e4gt die aktuelle Lecture &amp; Film-Reihe den Titel \u201eDie Erfinderin der Formen. Das Kino von Chantal Akerman\u201c. Beginnend mit dem 25. Oktober stehen bis zum n\u00e4chsten Sommersemester 15 Termine auf dem Programm, bei denen jeweils nach einem einleitenden Vortrag der besprochene Film gezeigt wird.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den Veranstaltern \u00a0der Lecture &amp; Film-Reihe geh\u00f6ren wieder das Institut f\u00fcr Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t, der Exzellenzcluster \u201eDie Herausbildung normativer Ordnungen\u201c und das Deutsche Filminstitut &amp; Filmmuseum, in dessen Kino die Vortr\u00e4ge und Filmvorf\u00fchrungen auch stattfinden.<\/p>\n<p>Zum Auftakt am 25. Oktober um 20.15 Uhr spricht Vinzenz Hediger \u00fcber \u201eDas Melodrama des kolonialen Wahns: zu \u201aLa Folie Almayer\u2018\u201c. Hediger ist Professor f\u00fcr Filmwissenschaft an der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t und Mitglied des Exzellenzclusters. Zudem leitet er das Graduiertenkolleg \u201eKonfigurationen des Films\u201c. Ebenfalls aus den Reihen des Exzellenzclusters kommt Martin Seel. Der Philosophieprofessor analysiert gegen Ende der Reihe (am 27. Juni 2019) \u201eDie andere Seite des Kinos: Chantal Akermas \u201aDe l\u2019autre co\u0302t\u00e9\u2018\u201c. Seel ist Organisator viel beachteter Kino- und Vortragsreihen, in denen mit Blick auf das Forschungsprogramm des Clusters die Rolle des Films in den kontroversen moralischen, rechtlichen und politischen Auseinandersetzungen der Gegenwart untersucht wird.<\/p>\n<p>Die Regisseurin Chantal Akerman zeigt Kinom\u00f6glichkeiten jenseits der fast durchweg m\u00e4nnlichen Helden-Geschichte von Griffith bis Hitchcock auf, als deren Erben sich die Nouvelle Vague verstand. Viele ihrer Filme sind im Kino ohne Vorbild und pr\u00e4gen mit ihren bahnbrechenden feministischen Sichtweisen seit ihrem Erscheinen die Ausdrucksm\u00f6glichkeiten des Films. Akermans \u00c4sthetik der Alltagserfahrung, ihr \u00dcberschreiten der Genregrenzen zwischen Spielfilm, Dokumentarfilm und Experimentalfilm, ihr Sinn f\u00fcr Dauer und Zeiterfahrung jenseits der Stechuhr-Dramaturgie des herk\u00f6mmlichen Spielfilms machen sie zu einer Neuerfinderin der Formen des Kinos.<\/p>\n<p>Als Tochter von Holocaust-\u00dcberlebenden ist sie zudem eine singul\u00e4re Zeitzeugin der historischen Br\u00fcche und Verwerfungen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ihre Auseinandersetzung mit j\u00fcdischem Leben durchzieht ihre Filme auf vielf\u00e4ltige und subtil reflektierende Weise.<\/p>\n<p>In seinem Er\u00f6ffnungsvortrag am 25. Oktober hebt Vinzenz Hediger ein Merkmal von Chantal Akermans Werk hervor. Es besteht darin, dass sie Formen zu finden vermag, die einen Zusammenhang zwischen der Intimit\u00e4t der Autobiographie und der Erfahrung von Geschichte herstellen.<\/p>\n<p>Das gilt auch f\u00fcr ihren zweitletzten Film, \u201eLa Folie Almayer\u201c. Akerman, die Tochter polnischer Juden, die in der Hauptstadt der ehemaligen Kolonialmacht Belgien aufwuchs, nimmt \u201eAlmayer\u2019s Folly\u201c, den Deb\u00fct-Roman des polnischen Exilanten Joseph Conrad aus dem Jahr 1895, dem Geburtsjahr des Kinos, zum Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr eine Meditation mit melodramatischen Z\u00fcgen \u00fcber die Abgr\u00fcnde des kolonialen Wahns und transponiert den historischen Stoff in eine irritierende Gegenwart. Der Film stammt aus dem Jahr 2011, ist rund 130 Minuten lang und im Anschluss an den Vortrag zu sehen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Lecture &amp; Film-Reihe \u201eDie Erfinderin der Formen. Das Kino von Chantal Akerman\u201c wird veranstaltet vom Deutschen Filminstitut &amp;Filmmuseum und dem Institut f\u00fcr Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t gemeinsam mit dem Exzellenzcluster \u201eDie Herausbildung normativer Ordnungen\u201c und dem DFG-Graduiertenkolleg \u201eKonfigurationen des Films\u201c, in Kooperation mit der hessischen Film- und Medienakademie.
