Februar 2019 ist am Universit\u00e4tsklinikum eine gro\u00dffl\u00e4chige Wandinstallation \u00fcber die bewegte Geschichte der Dr. Senckenbergischen Anatomie feierlich eingeweiht worden.<\/strong><\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Die lange Historie der Dr. Senckenbergischen Anatomie beginnt 1772 mit der Obduktion des Leichnams ihres verungl\u00fcckten Stifters und Namensgebers, Dr. Johann Christian Senckenberg. Sie beginnt auch \u2013 wie alle Anatomie \u2013 mit S\u00e4gen, Scheren, Skalpellen, Pinzetten und blo\u00dfen Augen und H\u00e4nden, bevor sie sich, im sp\u00e4ten 19. Jahrhundert, auch der Mikroskopie zuwendet. Das aber mit durchschlagendem Erfolg. Noch vor der Gr\u00fcndung der Universit\u00e4t war sie, unter Leitung von Prof. Carl Weigert, eines der weltweit f\u00fchrenden Forschungsinstitute.<\/p>\n<p>Die Anatomie r\u00fchmt sich, bei der Er\u00f6ffnung der Universit\u00e4t im Jahre 1914 eines der Gr\u00fcndungsinstitute dieser gewesen zu sein, aber es gibt es auch Schattenseiten in ihrer Vergangenheit. So geriet auch die Anatomie in den Bannkreis des nationalsozialistischen Terrors und der Guillotine; die K\u00f6rper von Opfern gelangten in die Anatomie. Foto: Barbara Wicht<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nach dem erfolgreichen Wiederaufbau ist die Dr. Senckenbergische Anatomie heute ein zentraler Bestandteil der Universit\u00e4t und der \u00c4rzteausbildung. Es wird zwar immer noch mit Skalpellen und S\u00e4gen gearbeitet, doch haben die neusten Verfahren der Mikroskopie und Molekularbiologie die Zusammenschau des Gro\u00dfen mit dem Kleinsten erm\u00f6glicht und die Anatomie zu dem gemacht, was sie heute ist, n\u00e4mlich eine erfolgreiche wissenschaftliche Forschungsanstalt und, Jahr f\u00fcr Jahr, der Ort, an dem mehr als 500 Studierende das kennenlernen, was sie sp\u00e4ter heilen sollen: den K\u00f6rper des Menschen.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35902\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35902\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-35902 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aktuelles.uni-frankfurt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_5668_neu.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aktuelles.uni-frankfurt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_5668_neu.jpg 650w, https:\/\/aktuelles.uni-frankfurt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_5668_neu-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35902\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prof. Christoph Lauer, Studiendekan &#8222;Zahnmedizin&#8220;, Prof. Thomas Deller, Prof. J\u00fcrgen Graf, \u00c4rztlicher Direktor des Klinikums, Dr. Kosta Schopow und PD Dr. Helmut Wicht auf der Feier. Foto: Barbara Wicht<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Entwicklung auf Wandtafeln festgehalten<\/h3>\n<p>Die Geschichte der Anatomie wurde dank der Unterst\u00fctzung durch die Dr. Senckenbergische Stiftung nun wort- und bildreich auf zehn dauerhaft installierten \u00f6ffentlichen Wandtafeln im Foyer der Anatomie festgehalten. Diese sind am 22. Februar 2019 vom Dekanat des Fachbereichs Medizin und vom \u00c4rztlichen Direktor des Universit\u00e4tsklinikums formal der \u00d6ffentlichkeit \u00fcbergeben worden. Auch der Vorsitzende der Administration der Stiftung und der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrende Direktor der Anatomie waren anwesend. Die Ersteller der Tafeln, der Historiker Prof. Udo Benzenh\u00f6fer und der Anatom PD Dr. Helmut Wicht, waren ebenfalls vor Ort.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 22.
