Warum sind Sie Wissenschaftler geworden?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aus einigen Zuf\u00e4llen heraus, aus Neugier und aus Leidenschaft f\u00fcr B\u00fccher, Gedanken, grunds\u00e4tzliche Fragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Woran arbeiten Sie gerade?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generell besch\u00e4ftigen mich zur Zeit der Zusammenhang zwischen der Kritischen Theorie, d.h. den gesellschaftstheoretischen \u00dcberlegungen der \u201aFrankfurter Schule\u2018, und klassischen ontologischen Fragen, Fragen nach dem Sein. Hier gibt es mehr Bez\u00fcge und Ber\u00fchrungen, als man sich vorstellen k\u00f6nnte, und einige gegenw\u00e4rtige Theorieentwicklungen (der sog. Neue Materialismus und der \u201eontological turn\u201c in den Sozialwissenschaften) machen dieses Thema besonders reizvoll. Im ConTrust-Kontext (das Clusterprojekt ConTrust – Vertrauen im Konflikt. Politisches Zusammenleben unter Bedingungen der Ungewissheit, Red.) interessieren mich Diskussionen um Identit\u00e4t, Identit\u00e4tspolitik und Identit\u00e4tszuschreibungen, die ja zu den kontroversesten gesellschaftlichen Themen der Gegenwart geh\u00f6ren und in denen sich der Zusammenhang von Macht und Wissen oder von Konflikt und m\u00f6glichem oder unm\u00f6glichem gesellschaftlichem Vertrauen deutlich zeigt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viele Dinge, in der kurzen Frist will ich aber noch mehr wissen \u00fcber M\u00f6glichkeiten und Chancen, philosophische und soziale Probleme zusammenzudenken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was sollte die Gesellschaft \u00fcber Ihre Forschung wissen? Was ist ein h\u00e4ufiges Missverst\u00e4ndnis?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es ist ein Fehler zu glauben, dass abstrakte wissenschaftliche Fragen nichts mit der gesellschaftlichen, historischen, politischen Realit\u00e4t zu tun haben, sie sind von ihr durch und durch bestimmt. Es w\u00e4re aber auch ein Fehler zu denken, dass Wissenschaft gesellschaftliche und politische Probleme direkt und unvermittelt l\u00f6sen k\u00f6nnen; dazu bedarf es der Transformation in gesellschaftliche und politische Projekte, Initiativen, Mobilisierungen, die eigene Logiken, Legitimit\u00e4tsbedingungen und Erfolgskriterien haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie bekommen Sie den Kopf von der Forschung frei?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Martin Saar<\/strong> geh\u00f6rt dem Clusterprojekt ConTrust<\/u><\/font><\/a> an. Das Clusterprojekt erforscht das Wechselspiel von Vertrauen und Misstrauen in Krisen- und Konfliktsituationen.
