Schubert-Stiftung heute einen der h\u00f6chstdotierten deutschen Umweltpreise, den Frankfurt Conservation Award 2023 (Bruno H. Schubert-Preis). Im Rahmen einer Abendveranstaltung an der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t geht der Preis in den drei Kategorien Lehre, Forschung und angewandter Naturschutz an Prof. Dr. Meike Piepenbring (Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt), Prof. Dr. Beth Kaplin (University of Rwanda) und Jos\u00e9 Carlos Nieto Navarrete (Servicio Nacional de \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado \u2013 SERNANP, Peru).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seit 40 Jahren gibt es den Bruno H. Schubert-Preis. Im Jubil\u00e4umsjahr des Preises hat sich die gleichnamige Stiftung neu aufgestellt. Mit der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t, der Senckenberg Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Naturforschung und der Zoologischen Gesellschaft Frankfurt ist sie eine institutionelle Partnerschaft eingegangen, die ihren Ausdruck unter anderem in der Besetzung des Stiftungsrates mit den Pr\u00e4sidenten bzw. dem Generaldirektor der drei Frankfurter Partnerorganisationen findet. Mit dieser Satzungs\u00e4nderung wird der Preis ab jetzt \u201eFrankfurt Conservation Award\u201c (Bruno H. Schubert-Preis) hei\u00dfen, womit der globalen Reichweite Rechnung getragen wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Preiskategorien spiegeln die Schwerpunkte der drei Partnerinstitutionen wider: Forschung und Lehre zu Themen des Natur- und Umweltschutzes sowie angewandter Naturschutz. Sie ist Professorin f\u00fcr Mykologie am Institut f\u00fcr \u00d6kologie, Evolution und Diversit\u00e4t der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kategorie 2 (Forschung) \/ <\/strong>F\u00fcr ihre herausragende pers\u00f6nliche Leistung in der Forschung zum Natur- und Umweltschutz wird Prof. Dr. Beth Kaplin ausgezeichnet. Sie ist Acting Director am Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management (CoEB) und Professor am College of Science and Technology, der University of Rwanda, zudem ist sie Affiliated Research Professor of Biodiversity an der School for the Environment, University Massachusetts-Boston, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kategorie 3 (angewandter Naturschutz)<\/strong> \/ F\u00fcr seine herausragende pers\u00f6nliche Leistung in der praktischen Arbeit im Natur- und Umweltschutz wird Jos\u00e9 Carlos Nieto Navarrete ausgezeichnet.
