Mit dem \u201eLeonore Siegele-Wenschkewitz Preis\u201c, kurz \u201eLeonore-Preis\u201c, w\u00fcrdigt der Verein zur F\u00f6rderung Feministischer Theologie<\/a> in Forschung und Lehre herausragende Leistungen mit Bezug zur Feministischen Theologie oder zu Gender Studies in der Theologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine Wenona Hoffmann wird f\u00fcr die Lehrveranstaltung und damit verbundene Exkursionen zum Thema \u201eIdentit\u00e4t und Diversit\u00e4t als Thema von Gottesdienst und Predigt\u201c geehrt. \u201eGerade in Zeiten, in denen in den USA die Lehre an Harvard u.a. Orten eingeschr\u00e4nkt wird, wollen wir ein Zeichen setzen, f\u00fcr Wissens- und Meinungsfreiheit und Diversit\u00e4t\u201c, sagt Pfarrerin Ute Knie vom Vorstand des Vereins zur F\u00f6rderung Feministischer Theologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die intersektionale Vernetzung der Veranstaltung mit den Studierenden der Gender Studies des Cornelia-Goethe-Zentrums, der Soziologie, der Ethnologie, der Islamischen Studien, sowie der katholischen Theologie sei einer der Gr\u00fcnde gewesen f\u00fcr die Vergabe des Preises an Christine Wenona Hoffmann, so Renate Jost, Vorsitzende des Vereins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine Wenona Hoffmann wurde 1986 in San Diego (USA) geboren. Nach Studienaufenthalten in Heidelberg, Rom und Cambridge war die ordinierte Pfarrerin in Gemeinden in Mannheim und dem Oberkirchenrat in Karlsruhe t\u00e4tig. Seit 2023 ist Hoffmann Professorin f\u00fcr Praktische Theologie am Fachbereich Evangelische Theologie der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t in Frankfurt. Dabei ist es ihr ein zentrales Anliegen, \u201e\u00fcberh\u00f6rten und unerh\u00f6rten\u201c Stimmen aus Gesellschaft und Theologie Geh\u00f6r zu verschaffen. Christine Wenona Hoffmanns Habilitationsschrift zur Seelsorge(praxis) von und mit Menschen, die in Armutslagen leben, zeugt ebenso davon wie ihre diversit\u00e4tssensible und feministische Lehre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In diesem Jahr geht der Preis zu gleichen Teilen an Christine Wenona Hoffmann und an Christiane Nagel, Privatdozentin in Marburg. Den Nachwuchspreis erh\u00e4lt die Naturwissenschaftlerin Nasreen Sarah Shah f\u00fcr ihre Magisterarbeit an der Universit\u00e4t Marburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonore-Preis<\/strong>
Der Leonore-Preis ist benannt nach der ersten Frau an der Spitze der ehemaligen Evangelischen Akademie in Arnoldshain, Leonore Siegele-Wenschkewitz. Die 1999 im Alter von 59 Jahren Verstorbene war die erste Direktorin der Akademie Arnoldshain, sie galt als kritische Kirchenhistorikerin und feministische Bibelexegetin, durch internationale Tagungen, aber auch durch Veranstaltungen f\u00fcr Menschen jeglicher sexuellen Orientierung, als dies noch weit un\u00fcblicher war als heute.

Die Preisverleihung findet statt am Sonntag, 2. November 2025, um 14 Uhr in der Evangelischen Akademie Frankfurt. Die Ehrung findet in Kooperation mit den Evangelischen Frauen in Hessen und Nassau, der Evangelischen Akademie Frankfurt und der Evangelischen Kirche in Hessen und Nassau (EKHN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
