This question is addressed in a comprehensive review article that was recently published in the renowned journal <em>Nature Reviews Physics<\/em>. Prof. Dr. Marcus Bleicher from the Institute for Theoretical Physics is among the authors of the international research team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In their publication <em>\u201cGlobal tuning of hadronic interaction models with accelerator-based and astroparticle data\u201d<\/em>, the researchers present a new approach to systematically improve simulation programs for particle collisions. Such event generators are used both in accelerator experiments, such as those at the Large Hadron Collider, and in the analysis of cosmic radiation. Until now, they have mostly been developed solely on the basis of accelerator data.
