Easy and Uneasy Collaborations with Plants<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diesj\u00e4hrige Gastdozentin der Ad.E.Jensen-Ged\u00e4chtnisvorlesung ist die Anthopologin Anne Meneley, Professorin f\u00fcrAnthropologie an der Trent University in Kanada. In ihren Vortr\u00e4gen widmet sie sich der Interaktion zwischen Menschen und Pflanzen. Dabei geht es vor allem auch um Eigendynamik von Pflanzen und um die Bewegung von Pflanzen, Samen, Menschen und Infrastrukturen. Meneley untersucht etwa Auswirkungen der britischen Kolonialzeit auf G\u00e4rten in Singapur und geht der Verbindung von G\u00e4rten in der heutigen Republik Georgien mit der lokalen und nationalen Politik nach. Anhand von Beispielen aus Pal\u00e4stina, dem S\u00fcdlibanon und Syrien fragt sie, welche Folgen Krieg auf Pflanzen, B\u00f6den und und die Pflanzen pflegenden Menschen hat.<\/p>\n
