Sie beruhen in vielen F\u00e4llen auf fundamentalen Fortschritten in der Physik, die sich in ihrer Formalisierung dann h\u00e4ufig tiefgreifender und abstrakter Mathematik bedient. Daher liegt die These nahe, dass die Mathematik selbst treibende Kraft in solchen Umbr\u00fcchen werden und grundlegende mathematische Forschung als Initiatorin gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung agieren kann. Im<br \/>\nRahmen der Vortragsreihe gehen wir auf Spurensuche und beleuchten, ob und inwiefern Mathematik diese Rolle in gesellschaftlichen Transformationen bereits gespielt hat bzw. in Zukunft spielen k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>28.
