Embodiment has actually become a, more or less, mainstream perspective in disciplines such as sociology, philosophy, literature studies, history, etc.<br \/>\nIn my presentation, I will critically engage with the notion of \u203aembodiment\u2039. I will try to disentangle various dimensions of \u203aembodiment\u2039, both in regards to academic analysis and mundane everyday empirical practices. Drawing on phenomenology, practice theory, feminist and further contemporary perspectives, I will argue that while embodiment is never fully writeable, there are in fact productive and creative ways of acknowledging the specificities of \u203alived embodiment\u2039 (Leiblichkeit) in academic writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00dcber die Rednerin<\/strong><br \/>\nPaula-Irene Villa Braslavsky ist Professorin f\u00fcr Allgemeine Soziologie und Gender Studies an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Geschlechterforschung, Bio- und K\u00f6rperpolitik, Kultursoziologie sowie in der Soziologie der Pflege- und Sorgearbeit.<br \/>\nF\u00fcr ihre Arbeit wurde sie mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Neben ihren eigenen Beitr\u00e4gen und Herausgeberschaften ist sie in verschiedenen Fachgesellschaften, Jurys und Beir\u00e4ten t\u00e4tig, unter anderem als Vorsitzende der Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Soziologie (2021-2025).
