How Do 100 Billion Neurons Work Together?

Goethe University Frankfurt hosts the Bernstein Conference 2025 on Computational Neuroscience

How does the human brain, with its 100 billion nerve cells, process the endless flood of signals we receive every second? This is the central question driving the field of Computational Neuroscience. Researchers use mathematical models, computer simulations, and experimental data to unravel the brain’s mysteries.

From 30 September to 2 October 2025, Goethe University Frankfurt will welcome leading scientists from across the globe to the 20th Bernstein Conference. Recognized as one of Europe’s premier gatherings in the field, the conference provides a platform for international exchange on the latest breakthroughs in brain modeling and neuroscience.

The event takes place on the university’s Westend Campus in Frankfurt, Germany. The conference language is English, and the program is available online: Bernstein Conference 2025 Program
