Teaching degree students interested in completing a stay at a school abroad had the opportunity to learn more about such possibilities at an informative event held in early November 2025. The day included a Gallery Walk, in which 12 students who had already completed such an internship showcased their respective schools on poster boards. Among the questions addressed were: How do I find the right school abroad for me? What financial support is available and how can a school internship abroad succeed both with and without a scholarship? What programs are available?

Who better to advise interested students than those who have already completed a school internship or an internship semester? That’s why peer exchange was a top priority at this International Day. Partner schools in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, the USA, Colombia, Australia, and Denmark were introduced. Andreas Hänssig, who leads the ABL-ITE program at the Academy for Educational Research and Teacher Education, moderated the information session, which also included virtual participation from students currently completing their school internships abroad. Thanks to a Zoom online station, students at partner schools abroad were on hand to answer questions.
